Anyway, the Writing Handbook Wiki is a HIT! The kids are great at it, it's interactive, and always there for reference. I am not going to post the link - maybe at the end of the school year - in order to protect the privacy of the students, but here is a screen shot of some more recent mini-lessons:

I am really excited to find your blog. I just saw a comment that you wrote on another blog back in August describing your classroom. This year was my first year in self-contained 6th grade, but as our school grows next year I will have 6th and 7th grade social studies, reading, and writing. We also have laptops for all of our students. I am looking forward to catching up on your blog and starting to follow it regularly since your context is a good match to mine.
